Different price before and after change in service
I have been an AT&T customer for 13+ years. Last month I was on the AT&T Uverse 'Internet 18' plan. I was ok with the speed but went online to see if I had a better option. I went to 'Change Your Service' online in My Account. I saw that I could get the 'Internet 24' for $3 less. I called Uverse online to verify and placed a service order for this.
I needed a technician to come in because of changes needed at my home. Long story short, I just noticed that my new bill was actually $10 higher instead of going down it went up. I have never had this problem before with AT&T so did not keep a screenshot of the price shown.
I called but the call center could not see the old price that I was shown. I am really frustrated as none of the service emails show the price. What should I do? Can I get some help? I am a past employee of AT&T as well and want to get some help rather than cancel or change service.

My current bill is showing as $67 for Internet 24 and $4 for equipment fee, so $71 plus taxes.
Old bill was $60 for Internet 18 and $4 for equipment fee, $64 plus taxes.
My main problem is why would the price show different when I was making the change and then jump up to a different number. I don't want my monthly bill to increase. I don't need any faster service. Frankly 18MBPS was good enough for me. I only changed because I was getting a faster speed for $57 ($3 cheaper). I was trying to save a few dollars.
