Car Wifi not connecting to the internet

My 2021 Jeep Gladiator has the unlimited Wifi plan.  It has worked fine the last two months but today I cannot access the internet.  I can connect to the system and I have full bars, but I receive a message that the service cannot access the internet on my phone.  Any suggestions?

2018 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk, the ATT in-car wifi service worked for a bit end of 2021 and failed completetly after that.  I called ATT several times during the first 3-4 months of 2022 and they finally refunded my annual fee and offered me several free months of a non-functional service.  Then suddenly about a month ago it started working again but stopped after a couple of weeks and has not been able to connect to the internet for at least 10 days now.  It's very frustrating!  Jeep's going for a big checkup next week, I'll see what my dealer says (Cole in San Luis Obispo, CA).  Definitely interested in (Edited per community guidelines) if that becomes a thing.

I have a 2014 Dodge Durango that had old UConnect wifi, but was discontinued so (FCA/Stellantis/Mopar?) mailed the an OBD pod for $9.99 monthly access for limited 4G wifi access through T-Mobile, which works great for over the last 2 years.  My 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee was purchased new and after the one year wifi, I purchased the annual 4G wifi through AT&T.  Beginning mid to late 2021, the wifi stopped working with a message "connected but internet not available." The AT&T was extended three months and after many promises to fix the AT&T wifi unavailability, I canceled and was given a full refund.  Last month (September 2022)  AT&T gave me a trial wifi membership with a promise have wifi available by the end of the month.  It is now October 2022 and still have a message "connected, internet not available."  The dealership updated all the software for wifi/UConnect in September.  Recommendation:  DO NOT have dealership uninstall/reinstall software or replace radio.  I had a new 2018 JGC that did that and had to sell it because the UConnect system never worked again.

Same issue with my Chevy Traverse.  Tried it all. Reset. Remove car battery. Turn modem on and off. Open the door. Close the door. Refresh signal. All that. Works for a day then back to the same “No internet connection”.

Because my iPhone is set to use wifi for calling, I’m now missing calls or calls won’t go through because the Hot Spot doesn’t have internet. It’s connected with full bars but nothing. When it does connect it’s less than .05 gig speed.

The tech states my account should be pulling 10-12 gbps since it’s a premium unlimited account. Ha! I haven’t seen more than a 1gbps speed since over a year ago.

Disconnecting it today. Too frustrating and waste of money at this point.

Tim,

Check that “auto join” is toggled on on your wifi SID iPhone settings so that it connects automatically.

So, I'll be on radio replacement number 2 and that will be put in in a few days, not because of the wifi issue. When my radio started acting up, not being able to use 911/assist or remote commands, they had to replace it. The service guy asked me if the wifi worked and I told him no. He talked to a siriusxm guardian assistant and she told him that the wifi would work with a new replacement. After telling me this, I had to tell him that the issue with the wifi wasn't because of the radio, but it was because AT&T needed to do something on their part. Apparently, even the service guys dont know about the issues with the wifi. I'm telling yall this because if you think the radio is why the wifi doesn't work and that you can take it to the dealership to get it fixed, it won't happen. I've already said that the issue can't be fixed at the dealership but since we have new people here, they needed to know. Also, if this radio is still cutting off and on, freezing, and still doing other stuff, I'll know that my Jeep will have to be replaced. So, if you're having issues like this, let me know.

Hello, @Thumbsup we're happy to point you in the right direction to get your car Wi-Fi connected.

Ugh.

I went through with a radio replacement again a couple months ago and magically the internet was working again.  Well, starting yesterday I received the dreaded "Connected, but no access to the internet" message.

I have done nothing different...no software downloads, no battery resets.  Nothing has changed except it stopped working.  Beyond frustrating at this point...

@ATTHelp what I want to know is why we should have to PAY $29.99 for the HARMAN Spark when we purchased vehicles that were reported to have in-car wifi. Also, I put in my vin to check if the service was available and it sent me to the spark page when I tried to see if my vehicle was compatible YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE Jeep Gladiator on the list!!! Starting to remember why I got rid of ATT in the first place.
