Emergency Broadband Benefit for Home Internet
According to the FCC FAQ section:
.....eligible consumers with a past due balance or a balance in collections are eligible for the benefit.
I wanna apply for the EBB Program, how do I go about that.
Contact your local service provider, of the service you wish to have the Benefit applied to. ATT provides Internet and Cell/Mobile phone services; both of which the Emergency Broadband Benefit can be applied towards. You can also acquire a set dollar amount towards a new piece of equipment like a new phone, modem, laptop, computer. I have not used my Benefit towards any equipment, but you could ask the sales person at your local store; best buy, wal mart ect... 6 months after the 'Emergency' is called off by the state/Gov; the program shuts down and the extra payment stops. I called in to ATT and had my Benefit applied towards my Internet. It has been two months, and still have not had it show up on my bill as applied. I will have to call again, as usual.
How can we improve?
