been going over my data usage
I've been with AT&T for over a year, I have the internet 25 plan. The last 2-3 months I've been getting alerts that I'm about to go over my limit, but nothing has changed, I do have an alexa device that I received, but don't use it that much. Does my guest wifi contribute to making my data limit go over?

Please add a comment to THIS thread. We're trying to get enough people to post their data (if you could look at your data numbers prior to November (which is when this starts for most of us) then from Nov, Dec and Jan so far, it will help us in our slog to get AT&T to make a deep dive in what's currently happening.
Also, add to your comment over there what your current data cap is. Did you get an automatic upgrade to more data and if so, when was that?

We'd be happy to answer your AT&T data related questions, Buppy20.
The guest Wi-Fi network and your regular Wi-Fi both use your data. The guest Wi-Fi network just restricts what your guest can do in your network, so your guest can only access your internet connection and nothing more.
You can manage your Wi-Fi, and usage by using the Smart Home Manager app.
Please reach back out if you need any additional assistance.
Thank you for being the best part of AT&T.

Uverse platforms of VDSL FTTN (speeds 25 to 100) and ADSL2+ (18 or less) have a 1T data cap, overage charges are $10/50G up to $100 per month.
Unlimited is an option for extra $30 per month.
Note that total data usage includes both downloading and uploading.
A single device streaming Netflix in HD (3G/hr) for 11 hours per day for 30 days would be about 1Tdata cap.

Certainly! Here's a rewritten version:
Indeed, AT&T's data limit encompasses the cumulative usage of your primary link internet connection, encompassing both your primary Wi-Fi network and any guest Wi-Fi network you've established. Since these networks share the same internet connection, any devices connected to either network will consume data from your plan. It's crucial to be mindful of this fact while managing your data usage, in order to prevent surpassing the limits set by your plan.

Any Internet usage downloading or uploading counts towards your usage cap.
If you have one or more devices doing backups to the cloud such as Dropbox or camera(s) uploading or guest network… if the internet is being used it is counting.
