AT&T Store Employee throw papers at me
On May 12, 2023 at approximately 10:30am I went to the AT&T store in Mayfield Heights Ohio to talk about accounts. I went there because after talking with AT&T on the phone, they said I needed to go to the store to verify my identity.
I told the employee this and she told me I could not do that at the store. I said I was told I had to do it at the store. she said I was not listening to her, I said she was not listening to me. She ended up throwing my account papers at me.
I don't think this is the kind of employee AT&T wants

While I agree with your assessment, the question is if the individual is an actual ATT employee?
A large percentage of the retail stores are not ATT owned but are franchises or authorized resellers. I would recommend contacting the manager of the store in question.

to find out which store is company or retailer see the following post

I see that a lot of people are still looking at this topic, so I decided to update it for 2023.
Most of AT&T corporate and authorized retail stores can now perform all the same actions, including the store pick up from ATT.com, but if you need to check what a specific location is, you can still do it on the Store Locator.
Just enter your Zip code to find the stores closest to you:

They may not be an AT&T employee, but they do represent the company.

I agree with you, which is why I recommended contacting the store manager at location in question.
Not an ATT employee, need to address issue at the company that owns the location.

Not necessarily. They are independently owned and operated totally separate from AT&T and, as mentioned, are not staffed with AT&T employees. They just resell AT&T goods and services and some are less than honest in what they disclose to customers just to make a sale. IMO, they are an embarrassment to AT&T, and AT&T is more than capable of doing that themselves. Unfortunately AT&T has little to no control over their business practices. If I ever need to go to an AT&T, which I rarely do, I'll make sure it's a Corporate Store, and I always ask when I go in because they look exactly the same.
