AT&T Fiber cannot access Wechat (specifically Wechat servers in Singapore)

Every night at 7:00pm-10:30pm, my wechat access with AT&T fiber stops working.

With wifi turned off and use Celluar network, then I could connect to wechat from iPhone.

This post on AT&T forum explains the issue exactly what we are experiencing.

From DNS, we can resolve the IP of wechat servers, but traceroute indicates clearly there's routing issue at 12.122.114.5, which is owned by AT&T. This is AT&T fiber network routing layer issue (protocol at layer 3), not really wechat servers issue at all.

Would you please look into the issue and fix the routing issue as soon as possible?

Thanks,
Jason

We are experiencing similar issues, not accessing WeChat, but accessing a partner site. We notice it starting around 7:30 PM and lasting past 10. I hope AT&T engineers are working on this, it has been happening for roughly a week now. We are seeing the path ending at the same router in AT&Ts network.

FYI, it is happening again tonight. The site I am experiencing difficulties with is not WeChat, but another site that I have been working closely with the vendor on for this issue. Unfortunately as this path stops in AT&Ts network, there is nothing they nor we can do about it.

Also, as mentioned, it works with other ISPs and it works before about 7:30 PM every day. Right now I can get on my Verizon phone and access the URL, however if I switch my phone to Wifi and use AT&T, I cannot access the site. Here is the traceroute again.

Please send this to your network team as AT&T is the only one who can fix this.

Since there's already a long thread on this exact subject I'd like to have you two switch over there if you'd like to post more.

And @edmls when I ran that tracert just now it completed just fine.
