Petition for Better Internet.
I'm trying to seek ways to try to build better internet services for my community. South Carolina was just giving grants for rural internet upgrades. They have chosen some roads in my area but not my road. Would it be beneficial to start a petition to develop the internet on my rural road. They are literally building around us. It's about a four to five mile stretch, we have DSL and poor 4g service. Anybody have any thoughts or recommendations? Satellite internet is very poor option and has been utilized around this area. ATT has used FIXED WIRELESS for 1.1 million addresses within 18 states where they were awarded CAF-II funds. These were awarded several years ago... 2020 was the last year ATT had to meet the 1.1 million addresses.
IF a different company was awarded funds for your area, that is the company you would need to contact.
ATT PROJECT AIRGIG may offer 5G mmwave internet from power poles later this decade. Where and when are currently unknown but several years of testing at 3 different sites is near completion.

Thanks for the response. There is actually a 5G tower that is being prepped 2 miles from us, not sure when but know all the paperwork has been completed and land surveyed. Not sure what company. I use ATT and they have a uVerse box that is close enough for us to get the service. We have had 3 different people, who work for ATT, tell us indirectly but ATT tells us no. Just plain stinks for us...
