Order cancellation - stop buried wire order

Hello, I canceled a new order for AT&T internet & TV nearly three weeks ago, but someone came out today to mark our yard (extensively - there are paint marks and flags everywhere). The sprayed all over our driveway, and have marked a line that will cut our dog fence. I do not want the cable dug; how do I stop this process? I have called customer service but they have no answers since they just show a cancelled order.

Not sure what's happening. Orders for buried wire are placed by the installation tech after completing the install, not prior to the installation. Is there other utility work going on in your area?

All the flags and paint are for is to mark existing services, doesn't mean they're going to bury anything.  Could be they placed a call to get things located prior to you canceling.  Call and verify the order was canceled.

Thanks for your replies. Yes, I assume this is the utility marking service rather than AT&T. Just not sure why the process is still in motion weeks after cancellation. I verified that the order was canceled via customer service, so hopefully that‘s it. Hate to waste anyone’s time, especially right now.

We're here to help, @Bluegal!

As others have stated, since you have cancelled your service, there should be no further action regarding burying wires.

For your peace of mind however, we do suggest contacting our Buried Wire Center directly to confirm at 800.924.9420, Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5:45 p.m EST.

Let us know if you have any further questions!
