New Fiber Line
I recently ended my old AT&T U-verse Internet with Direct TV account (promotions available on the account would not let me upgrade to fiber). I signed up for a new account with ATTtv and ATT 100 fiber connection. The install date for the fiber line is a week away. I signed up for the self install kit and my modem is showing a red broadband light (because the existing line is copper not fiber). Is there a way to activate the copper line until the fiber line is put in place?

no sorry totally different order and provisioning of the account, you will need to wait.

Short answer is no. You’ll have to wait for the fiber install. Confirm you still have an install appointment. Setting up a self install probably cancelled your tech install.
Are you sure you are eligible for fiber (100/100)? As far as I know, New accounts are only being offered internet 1000. No choice of multiple speed tiers.
