Need someone at AT&T with just a little bit of brains to help me get service.

We built our home almost 3 years ago in the country and every since then I have been trying to get internet only to get tickets submitted and nothing else done. At&T said  I cant get internet because they cant find my address in their system, yet both of my neighbors on each side of me on the same side of the road have AT&T phones and uverse. A friend told me to order phone service so they would have my address on file. I have Directv so I didn't think his idea would work because they have my address for Directv but I tried his plan anyway and guess what? I cant even get a phone! My next plan was to out smart AT&T. I called AT&T and ordered fixed wireless using my neighbors address. The plan was to meet them there when they came to install it and say sorry I gave the wrong address come down here. Everything was going as planed. They told me that it was available at this address and we started the process. I had already picked my plan, had how much it would cost and even had my installation payments broken down to 3 payments of 33 dollars. My plan was working! Finally, I was getting something done, until the end of the conversation. As he was about done he said: It shows you already have internet at this address. I said , yes my landlord does but Im their roommate and I want my own internet. He said that they cant do that. [Edited to comply with Guidelines]

I can't believe no one is still trying to shoot my plan down. I must have finally convinced yall it's going to work. Think of how many people I will help if this plan is successful.

Just put the fake address  numbers on my mailbox . AT&T has sent an email confirming they are still coming tomorrow. Wish me luck.

Tech came out. He said the order says I'm getting uverse but I ordered fixed wireless.  AT&T can't do anything right. Anyway,  I said OK let's hook it up. He said OK I have to find the box and he left. He came back and said he has to run a line from a box at my neighbors driveway and the line would cross his driveway so he would have to put in an order to have the line ran and buried to my house and it would be about 14 days to get it done. He never asked if he had the right address and it's looking like my plan is going to work. If I got any smarter I wouldn't know what to do with myself.

I'm at a crossroads here. I want fixed wireless because he said it would be faster but I don't want to cancel uverse and blow my plan out of the water. I hate having to deal with this using smoke and mirrors.

You've indicated all along that smoke and mirrors was your thing.  You have to stick with the original plan.

Who was  the one that said: that will never work, AT&T has checks and balances to go by. Lol. I would like to thank all the nay sayers on here, yall really pushed me to prove you all wrong.  Thanks from the bottom of my heart. Anyone reading this that has the same problem all you have to do is find an abandoned house near you, check to see if it is available there, check availability to all address on each side of you to make sure they are getting it. If it is and all neighbors are getting it,  order AT&T using the abandond address and your address as the billing address  . The day they come to your house cover the numbers on that mailbox and your neighbors mailbox. Change the numbers on your mailbox to match the abandoned house. When the Tech calls tell him the GPS is all wrong in your area and give him directions to your house. Once he is there he will run a line or order for a line to be put down and bam you will have Internet. After a few months call AT&T and tell them you think they have the wrong address to your house and it needs to be corrected , bam you are now in their system. What do you have to lose? It's worth a try. It worked for me.
