Live in rural area. No wireless gateway?
I have had my laptop computer connected to DSL. I recently took my laptop in and had a wireless gateway connection installed. Now, I learn that there is no wireless gateway connection available. So, I'm thinking I have a wireless hotspot. Is this possible?

I have a black box, the same kind used for wireless internet, What does a USB wifi adapter look like? If I go to a store and ask for one, will they know what I mean. Say a Walmart, or do I need to go to a ATT store. Do I go to the Zachary AT&T store?
