We had a landline and dsl internet. Ported number to Ooma which is voip. When that occurred, landline and dsl were cancelled .My goal is to have dsl only. Called to set this up, and got numerous different answers as i was transferred numerous times to different areas. I was told the only way to get it was to purchase direct TV or have a land line. This is not true, as the internet shows numerous customers who have dsl internet only and voip with another company for the landline phone. Why am I getting the runaround and why cant customer service get this right ?

@my thoughts  there was and as far as I know still is a dry DSL pretty sure AT&T called it naked DSL.  DSL with no dial tone, however it wouldn't surprise me that if the DSL of any kind was disconnected in an area where they no longer install POTS you wouldn't be able to get it  back, just the same as you couldn't get the POTS back.
