I Need Help With Installation
The story is too long to explain. So I'm just going to cut to my question. Line 2 of my DSL is down. To fix it, I was given 2 telephone wire connectors to attach to this telephone thingy (Picture). The thing is, I no idea where to put them. I was told it was an easy task. Anybody know what to do? If anyone needs more pictures, I can send more.

That's a protector for a single line. So what do you mean by line two and what connectors were you sent?

If that is indeed your connection(s) line 2 would be on the orange/white pair as line 1 is the blue/white pair from the outside drop.
As your showing line 1 inside wiring is on red/green, old quad wiring … line 2 should be on the yellow/black of the quad.
Unless you were originally a customer self install for lower speed internet such as 12 or below… I suspect there may be a NID on the outside with cat5e cabling for the inside wiring to the gateway location.
May want to check the colors of the wiring at the wall plate where the gateway resides.

Did line two ever work? Those are just scotch locks for splicing the lines together. You said line two is down which makes me think it did work. You've got another box somewhere.

OK let's get all this straight, by line two are phone lines and are you talking standard DSL with the filters on line one. First thing to do is go outside where there may be an NID (you can google testing phone line from NID) and if so see if line two is working out there. If it is see which color wires are on it. You need a starting point where it's working.
