I have been waiting 2 years for internet service?

Hello I have had direct tv for 2 years. I moved in my home 2 years ago and I called and bundled my direct tv and internet service. The man came and installed my direct tv and I ask him if he was installing my internet service? He looked and said oh you will have no problem getting your internet but it will be someone else coming to hook that up? I still have no internet service? It’s been 2 years? The man who lived here right before o moved in had At&t internet and all the equipment is hooked up but I have no internet?? Can I please get some help? Thank you
