How can I get internet like everyone else?

9 years ago I purchased some property and put a home on it. I have tried for the last 9 years to get internet to no avail. I have been told every excuse in the book as to why I can't have it but everyone else around me can. 2 years ago my neighbor purchased the land next to me and built a house. Poof they magically can get the internet that I so desperately want but every time I call and check online I continue to be told I can't have it. Well I got a ticket escalated to see why I can't get it last month December 9th I believe. Well fast forward to today and I check online and I can get internet now but it's only 5mbps for $55. My neighbor can get 300mbps for $55.  What do I need do to to get internet I can actually use? The pictures I am attaching is of my internet search result which is just of the basic 5 internet. My neighbors search result which has all kinds of options then a pic of our houses. Mine is the blue dot and circle and my neighbor is the red circle.

Hey there KendraH986. Thanks for reaching out to us, and we'd be happy to answer your question about internet availability at your address.

There are many factors that can impact what internet speeds are available at your residence. We'd suggest filling out our address research request form. This will allow us to look into what services and speeds are available in that area.

Please reach back out if you have any further questions. Thanks for contacting the AT&T Community Forums.

@KendraH986

I had a similar problem- no amounts of calls, in-person visits, address research forms, tickets, etc. did anything. What finally fixed my issue was filing an informal complaint with the FCC. This will get you a personal contact who can work on your case. Having a neighbor with fiber should help your odds of getting it resolved; if you can find the actual node you would be connected to and measure the distance with Google maps you'll have an even stronger case. Good luck!
