Hooking up wifi only

My cable is about to go past what we can pay so I need to cancel cable and keep Wi-Fi but there is so may wires back there, I don't know which goes where for streaming services. I have watched YouTube videos, but it got confusing cause some of those people seemed to be as confused as me. Can someone give me a quick instruction of the correct way to disconnect my boxes and connect for Wi-Fi?

Wi-fi is the wireless portion of your modem/gateway or router so you don't hook it up it's part of your Internet service. You can have Wi-fi without wired internet service using a hotspot. So you need to tell us exactly what it is you're trying to do.

We're here to help, @diva12!

We recommend referring to our guide for setting up U-verse TV service. This guide will help you determine which specific cables are associated with your DVR/receiver, so that you can ensure you're not disconnecting anything that may affect your Internet service.

To get assistance with canceling your U-verse TV service, please contact our support team at 800-288-2020. They are available Mon - Fri 7AM - 9PM CT and Sat - Sun 8AM - 9PM CT.

Please feel free to reach back out if you need help in the future. Thank you for contacting the AT&T Community Forums!
