Fiber installation to rural house.
I am in Georgia (just to the west of Atlanta).
My wife and I are hunting for houses and one of the houses on our list has either no service at all (by ANYONE) or only DSL.
The subdivision abutting the property (and off the same main road) has AT&T fiber that appears to be recently installed.
Who in Engineering do I need to contact for my specific region to find out if a fiber line is possible to be run to the house (and if so, how much it would cost)?

Hello @zombielinux,
I understand wanting to get the best internet speeds available. I will be more than happy to help!
After looking into your question, I have found two links which not only shows where AT&T Fiber is located but also sign up for a notification service which will let you know as soon as possible once your house is eligible for it!
I hope this information helps! Have a wonderful day!

serviceable or not.
In addition, your notification service doesn't actually provide an
estimated timeline.
I'm not going to buy a house if the timeframe for getting internet is
"eventually".

Hello again @zombielinux!
Thank you for the fast reply!
I understand completely. I would like the opportunity to look deeper into this for you. Please send me a private message to @ATTCares with your full name and account number, if you already have services with us. Any additional information would be welcomed.
Have a fantastic day!

I would make sure you get their information in writing. We did our research before buying our primary home, which told us that we could get DSL. We moved in and all of a sudden DSL is not available to us; yet when we talk with our neighbors we have several on both sides of us that have DSL yet, we can't get it. AT & T is not known for giving solid responses. We were told 4 years ago that they were updating the DSL circuit to add more availability; however, that has not happened yet. I think we are on the eventually plan, which stinks!! What's worse is that another neighbor who lives less than 1 mile away has ATT U-verse.
