Custom Fiber install

Hi everyone! Is there precedence for consumers paying ATT to install Fiber in a neighborhood that doesn't currently have it? During our consideration for a city we want to move to we're finding fiber availability hit and miss in some of the older neighborhoods. Can we pay ATT to install fiber to a home, even with the understanding that the fee could be quite large?

I am considering dedicated internet but would prefer to spend money on installation up-front as I don't need the SLAs and the costs would be perpetual with dedicated. As a result I was wondering if consumers, in the past, have been able to pay an installation fee to bypass the need for all customers within a neighborhood to request fiber.

Apologies if this is a ridiculous question! Thanks in advance.

It’s 10 dollars per foot for dedicated fiber to your home from the central office. 1 mile is approximately 55k plus a monthly fee of over 1k

May wish to consider purchasing a condo with fiber already installed...

There are over 3.5 million apartment / condo addresses with direct fiber.

This is 25% of the total 14+ million addresses with this option within ATT 21 state footprint.

For a map of where to consider...
