Crap cell signal, no landline, no internet available. Now what?!
I inherited my parents home, which 10 + years ago had both a land line AND DSL Internet. My mother dropped both (she did not use a personal computer enough to justify paying for the internet, and her cellphone carrier was Verizon and just used that for all calls). Today I called to get a landline installed due to having ZERO cell signal with ATT and was informed that they do not offer that service anymore. There are no more “open ports” for DSL, no access to fiber, and the fixed wireless internet option... is not an option due to NO CELL SIGNAL. We have 3 children who will now be doing online classes ONLY due to COVID for the entirety of this coming up school year. ATT is my ONLY option for service, no other providers service my address (I have checked every single option). How in the world can ATT be the ONLY provider, yet actually provide our family NOTHING?! They remove service options with out a replacement that has left our family in a serious bind. I am at a loss as to how my kids will be able to complete school work as I have a full time job and the Library has limited hours and computers available. I’m sure this post will get little to no resolve, however, I feel as though my frustrations should be heard.

Use this link to see what's available to you from AT&T and this link to see what other provider are available. If your Mother had good service with Verizon, that would be another option.
