Computer will connect to ATT Wireless Router but does not have internet access
My computer is still connecting to the ATT Wireless Router but I do not have internet access. I can connect to my Cell Phone Hotspot and get on the internet OK. HAs something changed in required settings that i can switch on or off to make it work? My wireless TV's and other devices connect and work like they should.

We can help that computer to get back online, russthom1.
Depending on what operating system that your computer is using, there are steps that you can take to restore the internet access. Here they are:
If you are using Windows 10 or above:
If you are still not able to get online, then there might be a problem with your wireless network card. You will need to get that computer repaired.
The steps above are for users with windows. If you have a Apple Product, then you will need to contact Apple support for assitance.
Please update if you are able to get back online on the computer.
Thank you for using the AT&T Community Forums.

FWIW, I have what appears to be the same issue and I still have data flowing despite windows 10 showing 'no internet access'on ethernet connection. I've just downloaded a game on steam (29gb, re2 remake) with no problem at all. I'm gonna go ahead and say it's probably an issue with windows or certain devices maybe just not assigning IP's properly.

WIndows 10 says "No Internet Access" if it cannot successfully connect to a server that it references by a DNS name. So if that name doesn't translate, or that server is down, or there's a problem that affects that particular route, or a firewall blocking that traffic, then "No Internet Access." It might mean that, but there are other things it might mean.

Hello, we have ATT at our coffee shop. Macs are able to connect to the internet but people with PCs cannot connect. All of these plp surely cannot be on Windows 10 or less? Also, you suggest to "
Doesn't powering the computer down mean that it will restart or reboot the computer? That is a confusing sentence. Please advise. Thanks

The Win10 reference was Win10 or above and was primarily made to indicate what the network icon looks like vs earlier versions of Windows. Even then, the icon doesn't look like they described. 🙄
The #1 step is meant to say don't use a reboot/restart but to actually power off the computer.
Off hand I can't think of anything that would affect just Windows computers.
What happens when they try and connect, what error message do they get?
Which AT&T Internet service do you have? What gateway model is it? I presume you've powered the gateway off and back on at some point and that didn't help, right?

Please open a new thread for yourself. Do same basic troubleshooting to ensure gateway itself has no issues. You can call the 800 number to check service or use online tools.
