Can I set up my cable/internet myself? (ATT)
Hi
I canceled my ATT cable and internet yesterday and called to have it turned back on (long story). I have all equipment still but they said a tech has to come out. Is this true? Do I have to get new boxes or something?

If you CANCELLED, then they can't just turn in back on. You would have had to have started a NEW account. When you cancel, you have to return the equipment associated with that account and get new equipment for the new account.
Was this internet only or was there some sort of TV service involved too?
You can't cancel a cancellation.....at least I don't think so.

Are you getting a faster internet speed than previous?
If yes, would explain the requirement of a tech dispatch compared to being allowed to perform a self install.
Either way requires new equipment for a new account, likely faster to receive the equipment by dispatch than shipment especially going into a weekend.
