Att contractor cut my underground power line!

5/29/21 att contractor cut my power line around 12pm. I’ve been trying to get a hold of someone in risk management but all I get is the run around. From one agent to another and no one seems to be able to help. I don’t believe I should pay out of pocket for damages att contractor did. Can someone help?? Before I sue att. Thanks!

heres from another post

Since you need to file a new claim, have the following information available:

  • Location – The physical address or GPS coordinates for the location where damage occurred.

  • Photos – Include close-ups and wide views of the area damaged. If possible, include photos of the person, vehicle, or equipment that caused the damage. Photos can be from cameras, cell phones, or other devices.

Once you have the information together, contact us at 800-288-2020. A representative will:

  • Document your information.

  • Assign you a claim number.

  • Forward the claim to our claims administrator.

AT&T claims are handled through Sedgwick, our claims administrator. Once the administrator receives the information, they will assign it to a claims examiner. The examiner will generally contact you within 3-5 business days to discuss the report and get additional information.

The claims examiner will:

  • Ask you questions about the damage.

  • Provide you with a location to send your photos.

  • Request you get an estimate for site repairs.

  • Come to your property to complete the claims process.

If you want the full rundown of everything to expect, including where you can receive updates on your claim, we suggest looking over our Property Damage Claims article.

The information for filing a claim with Sedgwick has changed, I don't know about Directv which is where the above information came from, but for property damage claims follow:

Claims Management Services - 855-365-4976

Option 1 - Check on existing claim

Option 2 - Speak to AT&T CC for service related issues

Option 3 - Start a new property damage claim

Existing claims can also be checked via portal www.mysedgwick.com

Here's the other link to Sedgwick as you can see the instructions are a bit different.

Did the same to me and I've been fighting since May 2022. They use subcontractors so att will not reimburse you.
