Xbox live wont connect via hard wire

I have a 3801HGV uverse box. When i connect my xbox one wirelessly both xbox live and the internet are connected. However when I connect it with a ethernet cable xbox live will not work. I've tried so many things but nothing is working and its very frustrating because it shouldn't be this hard. What can I do to get the hardwire connection to work?

We'll do our best to help! Have you already tried plugging the Ethernet cable into a PC to make sure the problem isn't with the connection? Have you performed a network diagnostic through the Xbox?

There’s nothing wrong with the ethernet cable. Everything else in my house works and the wifi works on my Xbox. The only issue is when I plug in the cable the internet apparently works but the Xbox live function doesn’t.
