WHY NO TECHNICIAN AVAILABLE ON WEEKDAY NIGHT AND ON SUNDAY? WHY CUSTOMER SERVICE REP LIE TO CUSTOMER
I made a repair schedule 3 times but technician does not show up. My scheduled time was 6:30 pm on Mon with customer service rep's special request note but technician called me at 3:30 pm, he did not notice about the time "6:30 pm" when I can arrive home, he did not come ever after hang up.
I rescheduled 8 pm on Wed with customer service rep's special note again. I could not use internet from last Saturday but I even cannot reschedule for next day, the earliest was Wednesday today. I received text message from AT&T about today's repair schedule 8 pm. But technician call me before 4 pm again, he says he cannot wait. He told me that I need to call Customer service rep and reschedule. My appointment time is 8 pm. AT&T canceled this schedule, not me. I called 1-800 customer service line again, customer service rep told me that she talked with technician and confirmed that he will wait. I told her, what if he leave? what if he is not there when I get home? Customer service rep reconfirmed that technician is waiting now, will wait until 6:30 pm But see, I called him an hour later when my house mate is on the way home, he says he left, he told customer service rep that he cannot wait, but WHY AT&T CUSTOMER SERVICE REP LIE TO ME? WHY WASTING MY TIME AGAIN? WHY MAKES ME SPENDING MY TIME AND ENERGY ON THE PHONE MORE THAN 30 MIN EVERY DAY.
I talked to customer service rep that do not waste my time, i will make a schedule on Sat, even though i make schedule again on weekday evening no one come at that time. But she told me technician is waiting, SHE LIED, she never listened what I say, she does not care anything about my situation.
I called 1-800 customer service again, it's already 4th time to make schedule, stupid thing.
AT&T do not have technician working at night time on weekday. Customer who work at day time can never have it repaired until Saturday.

Most repair techs work during day time hours. We cannot schedule a repair for a time frame that is outside of normal working hours.
However you can use out site to Manage Your Install or Repair Appointment.

Sorry, but even though AT&T would love to near enslave their techs, they do not work 24/7. You need to schedule and take the time off from your job during AT&T's working hours or have someone you know that can be there, outside techs, typically DAY SHIFT, Monday through SOME Saturdays.
AT7T does not like to have to pay over time.

Our window was between 8 and 12, no one showed and we had plans today and we had to cancel all of our plans for the late afternoon just to wait for this no show tech I'm not gonna use this service ever again.

I was sent emails telling me of a revised date they were supposed to arrive, 3 of them. Waited didnt see any tech called to find out what was happening. Was told that they werent coming till another day. I shared my emails and was told he would look in on it. Was told that they would be there today between 1030 and 1100. So i wqited and called back after timeline and was again told they wouldnt be there to the later date. So the long and short of it 3 calls was lied to, was told i was being put a manager twice and hung up on once and havent had the service day one yet. Terrible company by all accounts. If i didnt have to i would never use direct tv.

The appointments "between 4 and 8" are offered by AT&T and not asked for by the "customer". AT&T is aware that many if us "customers" have M-F 8-5 jobs and can not take time off to be waiting for a tech during the day with a four hour window, specially the ones that work on a time clock. The offer to show on weekends is a lie! I'm still waiting (on Tuesday) for the tech that AT&T has on record that was dispatched Saturday a.m. Grrrr. Called a few minutes ago, got a new appointment for Thursday "4-8 pm" window. In the mean time have no Internet nor VOI telephone service since Thursday 8:05 a.m. (Can not do any internet business, no option for 911, no security cameras recording in my cloud, no access to files on the cloud, no Netflix, among other consequences ...
If AT&T would like to have a better customer service they could schedule techs noon to 8 p.m. among other options just like MANY other customer service businesses. Daaaaa

They’re not Minimum wage customer service employees. They are skilled technicians that will leave and go somewhere else if they are scheduled 12-8. They mostly work mon-fri 8-5. If you need one of them to come fix your service, take time off of work. They aren’t retail workers that will come with the snap of a finger. At&T pays a lot of money for those technicians

efficient to do the job they are hired to do. Would be nice for AT&T to
schedule some of them to work other schedule except M-F 8-5, lets say for
some to do their service M-F noon to 8. Happens to be that some AT&T
(Paying) Customers are also 'SKILLED' employees for other companies and can
not just wait at home for someone to show up between (i.e.) 8 to noon or
noon to 4. [Some of us could be at home 5:30 to whatever hour to have
service restored]
Keep the good work. Thanks
