VPN connection issues
Hello,
so I work from home using the company VPN, but after 30 min or so my Microsoft Teams and Outlook go down and unable to connect. When I shut VPN off everything comes back up and this goes on this way all day long.
My IT dept. has looked at everything and has determined it was not on my company side but on my internet side. Do I have something not set up correctly on my side? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Let me make sure I understand your issue:
1) You connect to your company's VPN
2) You work on your company's network via the VPN
3) After some period of time, you lose access to TEAMS/OUTLOOK
4) You disconnect your VPN
5) You reconnect your VPN [you didn't mention this... do you?]
6) You can resume working on TEAMS/OUTLOOK
7) Return to step 3.
EDIT: After I re-read your post, I changed my statements above. So, I have the following questions:
1) Is the above list of statements accurate?
2) Especially step 5, which leads me to the next question
3) Can you access Teams and Outlook without VPN?
4) When you can no longer access Teams and Outlook with the VPN up, can you get to your company resources?

Yes all the items listed above are correct. I reconnect my VPN and can resume working on Teams/Outlook.
Yes I can use Teams/Outlook without VPN.
No I am not able to access company resources without VPN. All files are on the company server.

You misunderstand my question #4:
When you are on your VPN, and you lose access to Teams/Outlook, can you [before you restart your VPN] access your company resources (even though you can't reach Teams or Outlook)?

@JefferMC
I'm sorry JefferMC - yes I can still access my company resources.
@ATTHelp I have the AT&T fiber internet 1000
I have no internet problems with or without VPN. Its only when I VPN to my work that I loose my Microsoft Teams and Outlook after 30 min of being on VPN. I can shut down my VPN for about 2 min and Teams/Outlook will start back up again.

@kdd65
Since your AT&T internet works without any concerns. We recommend you reaching out to the VPN provider to ensure that it is nothing on their side preventing you from accessing teams/outlook.
You may also reach out to our ConnecTech team for additional support.
Let us know if you have additional questions.
Thank you for reaching out to AT&T Community Forums.

@ATTHelp Thanks, but it is not on the VPN side. My IT department has already exhausted that side as well as the company side. I will reach out to the Connectech

@kdd65 , sorry my AT&T Internet connection went down for a few hours (happens to ACEs too).
Next question: Is your VPN with your office a Split-tunnel or non-split-tunnel?
The difference is that on a split-tunnel, once you bring up the VPN, only certain traffic destined for configured subnets goes through the VPN; Internet traffic still goes straight to the Internet.
In contrast, a non-split-tunnel VPN, all of your traffic travels through the VPN, regardless of where it goes (even if you just wanted to print to a local printer). Once it comes out the other end of the VPN, then it can go where it wants.
I'll explain where I'm going with all these questions in just a bit.
And, if you've wasted your time paying ConnecTech, I'm truly sorry.

@JefferMC
lol - I am not sure about your question - let me ask my IT people and get back to you.
I have not gone to ConnecTech, was rather not happy with AT&T last message so I have waited.
again let me get with my IT group and will let you know what they say.
Thank you so much for your help!

@JefferMC
I am not getting any answers from my IT group - not sure why they won't. I talked to one of them and they thought I was asking them to make changes and I said no, just wanting to know which is used... no response. I am sorry, I don't know what else to say.
