Very slow internet

I have had Extremely high ping in any online game I play. In most games I am getting around 300 ping with around 15 packet loss, its been like this for 4 weeks now. I've tried restarting the router switching between wireless and an ethernet cable but nothing works. My parents contacted AT&T about it but all they told my parents was it was working fine for them. It seems to be getting worse, the only time it works is early in the morning but after that its just super slow. Would anyone have advice for this problem?

We can help with that ping problem, @Floating_Cereal.

We actually have a guide specifically for troubleshooting high ping in gaming. It sounds like you’ve already taken a few steps to troubleshoot this, but check out that guide for additional steps as well.

If it works early in the morning, but slows down later, this may be due to the number of devices connected to your network. You can use Smart Home Manager to see which devices on your network are using the most bandwidth. While you’re gaming, try disconnecting other devices from the Internet, and see if the ping improves.

You can also attempt to run a traceroute. This may help you better isolate the problem.

We’re here to help, @Floating_Cereal, so let us know if you have other questions!
