Upload speeds for online teacher

Hi! I have the Internet 45 plan with unlimited data. I have been teaching English online to kids in China for 2 1/2 years now. Usually I can gauge how my connection is through my ping which is usually fine according to the online companies I work for. However, the last few weeks I have had consistent issues with both classes and my zoom sessions which I do for my other job. My feed is freezing and I think it's my upload speed. The company recommends 10 but all of my speed tests run at different times of day and night have been around 5. Is this something that could improve in a new billing cycle? It is very frustrating to me and it can cost me students if my feed is choppy.

Hi @alison4summer, we'll be happy to help you get the best connection.

You can find all of the internet packages we offer with our AT&T Speed Tiers. It looks like the upload with Internet 45 maxes out at 6Mbps.

The Internet 50 Plan has 10Mpbs and may work out better for you.

You can use our Availability Checker to see what options there are where you live.

If you'd like to change your plan, you can do so easily through our website in your Account Overview.

Keep in mind there are many things that can affect Internet Speed.

We have some great tips to help ensure you're getting the most out of your current plan.

I hope this information helps, thanks so much for what you do.

If you have any further questions please let us know.
