Unlimited Wi-Fi usage?

When will AT&T have an unlimited amount of Wi-Fi without having to have directv? Currently you can only have 1tb which two xbox one's and multiple tv's use up halfway throughout the month. AT&T is the only provider with a limited amount of usage.

It is available now, called Unlimited Internet and available for extra $30 per month.

Or have a wired tv service such as DirecTv or Uverse IPTV which offers unlimited with the $30 fee waived and an extra $10 off internet. This is $40 in savings which should offset cost of lowest tv package with 1 tv.

Lastly, if your address has FTTP and subscribe to 1000 internet (most expensive) has unlimited. If have FTTP with 100/100, 300/300 or 500/500 still has the 1T data cap unless subscribed to 1 of the above 3 options.

Edit... for most hardwired internet only accounts for $90 a month ($3 per day) or less can have unlimited home service.

Where did you see that there was no charge for unlimited?

Current information:  Home Internet Plans

"....may purchase separately unlimited internet data allowance for $30/month., or maintain a TV/Internet on a combined bill to receive unlimited internet data at no charge."

If you have DirecTV, you will automatically receive unlimited internet and it will be indicated on your bill like this:

Unlimited internet

Because you bundled Internet with TV, you receive an unlimited data allowance.

I had just looked at my AT&T billing and and the entire page of it and it doesn't say anywhere on it that I have unlimited internet? And the technician that had come to my house on the day of Direct Tv install and there internet on the same day. That there are data something or another that I have the basic internet package. That I can upgrade at anytime as to the router thats the basic router that I have.

I'm not sure as to which area of that I had read that, but it was in the fine print of where I had read up on it?

@skeeterintexas  It is not automatic. I have Directv and UVerse Internet so I qualify for unlimited without the extra charge but unless I call and ask for it or add it myself online, I don’t get it. Since I’ve never even come close to the 1TB limit, I’ve not bothered to add it.

@PhillipStone0 You need to add the unlimited option. As long as your internet and Directv have the same billing address, you should not get charged for unlimited.

Mine was automatic.  I never had to call in and request anything.  Of course, I've had both TV and internet since day one.

Perhaps it’s automatic if bundled?  My services are not bundled. I had Directv long before switching to ATT internet.

That makes sense.  Mine has always been bundled (Uverse TV/Internet/VOIP).

I have the bundled Direct Tv and the internet they never said that unlimited internet was available unless I had asked for it when they did the install on day one. And also the router that I have is the basic router for wireless which I'm wanting to upgrade my router to one that would have at least 4 ports already installed on a new router. My question would be would it be cheaper to upgrade to a newer router and or to buy an extension but I'm just not sure if the extension would connect to the router that I have now possibly by the Usb?

Okay being it's available now why would it cost me $30.00 when I was told that I could upgrade at any time with no charge to me since I have the bundled package.

It's not automatic and it doesn't come with a bundled package of DirecTv and internet becuase if it did I would had gotten it I had ordered the bundled package and unlimited internet didn't come with it?
