Type 3 Nat ps4 fixed wireless

I was told before installation that fixed wireless would be better than dsl which it is. Also told my gaming experience would be amazing which is not. I’ve talked to customer service for the last week about port forwarding and such and have had no good solutions. I just want to play my game

Hi @Veytoe,

We'll do our best to help!

When you spoke with customer service about port forwarding, what did they recommend? Did they walk you through the steps?

One of our users who had this same issue with their Xbox posted their solution for us. It's also proved helpful for PS4 users.

Check it out and let us know if you still need assistance.

@ATTCares Umm no it didn’t help! It’s from 2014 and fixed wireless does not have nat/gaming under firewall!! I too was told fixed wireless was better that hughs net and it was perfect the first 30 days. Now it gets worse by the month!! I have a ps4 and had no issues the first couple months but since then I can hardly play. I only get two bars of service. I’m on my third tech visit and they basically tell me if I don’t like it the can take it with them. I was so excited to have it but now I can’t wait to move back to the city!!

That's my issue, first 30 days it was perfect. Then bam you're thrown at the bottom of the list apparently. They're just as bad as HughesNet was, avoiding answers to questions that need to be answered. This was a post from 3 months ago and we're still nowhere near any improvement.

And if I may spank the elephant in the room. The “ATT” rep offers a solution from 2014. I believe fixed wireless wasn’t released until late 2017. So basically we are the lab rats and att had ABSOLUTELY NO idea what the heck to do!! Worst part is the gas station down the roads hooked to fixed wireless too!! So I’m double screwed!!

Good luck. It's advertised as we can play online. But just about 10 am est to 10 pm est, you'll have 30% packet loss, high ping, and STRICT Nat. They've disabled port forwarding so even if you still have strict nat after, you couldn't do anything to fix it. It's a problem that won't be mentioned in any of their replies or say that they're "looking into it". I'm still stuck with Strict and it's past 10 pm. It's sad.

All there timelines are the same as mine!! I’ve got 800+ hours on 2k20 already so I’m pretty sure I know the internet. And another thing I noticed the Ethernet ports Amber. I checked and fixed wireless doesn’t offer 10/100/1000. Only options I saw were 10/100. I changed it from auto to 100 and light actually turned green but was only getting 1 gb download.
