The second TV loses connection for gaming if the first TV is streaming shows/movies

When I try to game on my second (the older) TV, it loses connection if the first TV is on Netflix or any other app that streams shows. However the second TV works fine if the first TV is not streaming anything.. I was wondering why

Hey caha. Thanks for reaching out about the intermittent TV service you're experiencing, and we'd be happy to help you.

To get started, we'd recommend checking out our TV troubleshooting steps

  • Restart your TV receiver by holding the POWER button down for 10 seconds then pressing it again to restart. This process takes 5-8 minutes and will impact any DVR recordings in progress.
  • Restart your Wi-Fi® Gateway by removing the power cord for one minute then plugging it back in. This will interrupt all of your AT&T services, including phone and TV.

Also, please let us know if your TV displays a message whenever you lose connection or does it just show a blank black screen.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Hi, thank you for your response.

I followed the troubleshooting steps, but I still lose connection from the Wifi. It says on my screen “Wifi connection lost”. But if i stream netflix on both TVs they work so I’m thinking it’s because my game has a high demand for a fast connection

I feel like it’s because the tv i use for gaming is not optimizing its connection so I googled how to do that and tried their recommendation (change the DNS servers manually to Cloudflare’s) and it seemed to work but I’m not completely sure yet
