Taking decices off my wifi

I recently downloaded the smart home manager app that tells me what devices are connected to my wifi.  I wanted to know if there is a way to find out what a connected device is. And if there is a way to disconnect a device from my app.

Thanks in advance!

Hello @Merc19.

I’m excited to see a great question come down for once!  I had a good bit of entertainment looking into this for you to find this information.

In regards to the application, as of right now, there currently is no way to manage devices as in depth as you’d like, but there still is a way to do so.  If you directly manage your connections through a PC by typing the IP address associated with your router (usually 192.168.1.254 number). Now, while you’ll likely need your devices mac address as this is usually how devices are displayed you will need to gather all connected devices together, and remove them one at a time, see which device loses connection, then re-add the device as you normally would > name device through management settings.

I know this is a bit confusing and I haven’t seen any tutorials on how to do this through our site, but I am still looking and if I find this before you’re able to perform this operation I will provide those steps.  Please let me know if you get this taken care of in the meantime.  I hope you have a great day!
