slow internet

I just switched to direct tv and at&t internet and my internet is slow my wireless is slow and lags a lot when im on my laptop its horrible I have tried resetting my router and other things nothing helps im not happing at all

Hi, @rlogan.

There are plenty of factors that can impact your wireless internet speeds. The best way to get the most out of your internet is to use a wired connection.

We also recommend you make sure you aren't using too much bandwidth by cutting down on the amount of devices using the internet at one time. Here's a calculator to give you an idea of what type of internet speed may be recommended for what you are doing.

Also, you can check out our Troubleshoot & Resolve tool to run diagnostics and get personalized support, and our Smart Home Manager to mange your network and check on your WiFi health, and recommend a WiFi extender if needed.

Here's some Gateway optimization tips as well.

I don't think at&t is being honest concerning all of the complaint that our internet service you are selling to is toooo slow...You are brushing this problem we are ask having to some other than the truth as to the've oversold what you don't have...fraud i  think it's called!!
