Seeing high ping times late afternoons/evenings
Normally my ping times are in the 10-20ms range during they, but they start creeping up in the afternoon and eventually get above 200ms, with occasional drops. This is impacted streaming services and general internet usability. I have opened 3 tickets with AT&T, and am now awaiting a service tech in the morning, who won't find any issues with the local stuff. The latency appears to be two hops away from me in the network. I suspect there is a oversubscription issue on that node, but I can't seem to communicate this to the AT&T support team to get them to investigate this as something more than just a last mile issue.

Not sure if @ATTHelp saw my last post in the DM, but a friend of mine across town is seeing the same issue.

There are times I think that you may have to rouse all of Fayetteville to get their attention.

Good info, ScavengerQueue. ATTHelp, what are the chances you could open a ticket for engineering for these gentlemen who are reporting a badly performing link inside the AT&T network?
No, you don't need to send them a new gateway or roll a truck.

Let's look at this high ping and latency deeper, ScavengerQueue.
Thanks, JefferMC, we can go ahead and take it from here. What we will do is, move this interaction to a Direct Message. You will find a chat icon next to a bell icon at the top of the page. Our next message will appear there.
In the meantime, we do want to thank you for the screenshots of the ping and traceroutes. Also, if you could please gather your AT&T account information. Do not post it here. We will ask for it again.
Just look for that Direct Message and follow the instructions provided.
Thanks for posting on the AT&T Community Forums.

I'm having this exact same problem from Bentonville, AR. Same IP acts up in the middle of the night. Has anything be done about this at all?

Effort its seems like at least some, progress not so much.
All the data is there I'm guessing it just hasn't gotten in front of the right person. Or it has and they just don't care, which is completely plausible given how painfully obvious it is with all the data provided.
