public ip address

My public ip address has changed at least 3 times in the past week. Since we're working from home, my company is trying to whitelist/safelist our public ip addresses for a staging site for via wordpress. But they're constantly having to update the public ip address. This is frustrating. This address shouldn't be changing this much. Why is it?

While the IP address for subscribers doesn't usually change often, it can. Your service is for "Dynamic IP", which means it's assignable as needed, and there's no guarantees. If you need a static IP, you can purchase that for an additional monthly charge.

That is unusual, though. Any ideas on why it would change that often?

Not a one. I can't think of any reason that the lease would be dropping and renewing so often. Of course, AT&T training didn't include "Zombie Apocalypse".
