Port Forwarding

Having some trouble port forwarding. I followed the guide for my specific router, BGW210 (https://www.att.com/support/article/u-verse-high-speed-internet/KM1215101). I live in an apartment complex that already had AT&T Fiber InstantOn.

When I go to check if the port is open (https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/), it still says it is closed. I've also set new rules in my Windows Defender Firewall settings (TCP and UDP). I've restarted my device. Tried deleting and writing the rules again. Nothing seems to open the port. Not a network guy so I don't know what I'm doing wrong or how to best proceed.

You have come to the right place to get help with your port forwarding, @ztproch.

Try doing a factory reset on your router, this will help by clearing any custom settings you might have set that could be interfering with completing the forwarding process.

  • Locate the small red button & pinhole on the lower rear of the gateway.
  • Depress for ~15 seconds.

Once this is complete we recommend you retry the steps listed on how to set up a port forwarding.

Let us know if this works.
