port forward to get web access

I have a buffalo NAS device on my network at work. I am trying to get web access to my documents. I have forward a port to TCP and I know it is open, but when I come to the ATT website to login, it ask for a device name and password. I have tried to use the ID and password I use to login to the NAS device, but it doesn't work. Does anyone know what username and device password I need to use?

Hi @billwong,

The code you're looking for is probably the device access code, which is located on a sticker on the side of your gateway. Once you have that, follow these steps to learn how to port forward

So I have had port forwarding setup and I get to my router screen and have set up a service for my nas. How do I get the the device now that I know the port is open and the service is set up? What do I type in my browser to get to the files?

Please advise.

After that, you will need to follow the instructions from your NAS for remote access. You may need a router behind our gateway depending on the NAS and what is needed. Along with that, for remote access, you may need to purchase a static IP or have a dynamic DNS setup, since the IPs for your connection are dynamic.

You may want to reach out on the support site for your NAS if still having issues.
