Ping spikes when neighbors use internet (certain times of the day)

I'm experiencing ping spikes ranging from 60-130 while playing video games and those will last 3-5 seconds, but it's def the time other people get off work and start using internet, are there any fixes to this? I've already tried disabling IPv6, I'm on Ethernet and on a cable modem for reference.

Hi, @NotLawmin

We can help you reach a resolution to your slow internet speeds during the night. There are several reasons as to why your internet speeds may be slow, including 'high traffic'. This normally occurs when everyone is getting home and connected to their services.

Most of these reasons can be corrected by resetting your modem. Read through these linked articles for more quick fixes and troubleshooting tips to help you. Let us know if this is helpful to you. We are here and happy to help.
