NGV589 Gateway Question

The attached page is from the NGV589 Gateway user manual.  Does anyone know what is WPS and how it's used?

Also, where do I find the WPS PIN?  Or is it something I create?  Regardless of whether I toggle WPS to ON or OFF, the WPS PIN field is grayed out.

Thx

WPS is the acronym for WiFi Protected Setup. It is one method of connecting a device to a wireless network.

Here's an article that explains WPS in detail, including information about using a PIN. If you have more questions, don't hesitate to ask.

@pomme4moi WPS is suppossed to help things connect, but does just the opposite, keeps things from connecting.

Best recommendation is leave it off. 😉

If you want to use it, the device gives the pin
