We have ATT Internet 50, and have had it for 2-3 months. It's been working fine, but since yesterday it's been dropping service randomly throughout the day. I have the modem wired through ethernet to a PC and every time it drops the PC loses connection, so it's not just a wireless issue. When it drops the broadband light on the modem will flash green indefinitely until I either unplug the power or hold the reset button for 2s to reset it. It might be of note that when we switched to ATT we had to have a technician come to open up one of the wall ports since none of the ones in our apartment had a connection we can use.

That troubleshooting tool was one of the first things I tried - it runs the diagnostic and then comes back with "No service problems have been found." I also checked for outages near me just in case and there are none reported.

Have you tried the troubleshooting tool when your service is dropping?
Also call 800 288-2020 and ask for tech support not customer service.
