Constant VPN Disconnection AT&T Fiber 1000

Like many of us, I am working from home. I have an issue where my VPN constantly disconnects and refuses to reconnect while I am trying to connect to my AT&T Fiber 1000 internet. By contrast, when I connect my computer via my cell phone hotspot, there are never any issues. Can you help me figure out why this is the case? My work IT department told me that I should contact AT&T, as their router or internet may be using some sort of firewall that blocks my VPN connection. If this is true, how do I figure that out and, more importantly, how do I fix it?

A few extra pieces of info that might be helpful or important:

1) When on WiFi, my VPN often says "Connected," but I do not actually have access to anything I need my VPN for: Outlook, Teams, our cloud systems, etc. My IT department was stumped by this.

2) Restarting my computer or fiddling with any of my computer software has not fixed this, nor has performing a restart of my router or WiFi.

3) My fiancé also has the same issue as me, and we work in the same household. I believe he uses a different VPN software than I do - not sure if that matters.

4) At all times when having these issues all other WiFi appears to work - TV, iPad, phone WiFi connections.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Really tired of losing work because I think I'm connected and am not.

We're here to help with your VPN connection, @lildildyk!

Have you attempted enabling IP Passthrough on your gateway for your VPN? Doing this can allow the connection to be directed properly to ensure the best connection possible.

If that doesn't work, we recommend you contact our paid, premium support team who specialize in third party devices/software, Tech360.

Let us know if you have any other questions!
