connecting NETGEAR WiFi extender to U-Verse 3801HGV

I need help connecting my NETGEAR WiFi extender (nighthawk AC1900) to my att u-verse 3801HGV.  I have enabled the WPS button and it flashes green.  When I press the extender button and the U-verse button, it does not connect.  How can I connect it?

@bigarch86 - When you say enabled the WPS, you changed from disabled in the GUI??

There is a save button at the  bottom of the page, but you should not have to press it. Try it.

You can press the virtual button on the gui - you will need the gui password from the label on the RG.

You can wire the netgear & connect wi-fi using the connection wizard.

You do have the netgar in the same room to assure it is within range. Once connected, you can move it to a more distant location.

It is still not connecting.  Is netgear extender compatable with U-verse?
