AT&T U-verse address research request

I am a former AT&T DSL customer that was lied into thinking uverse was coming when I cancelled my DSL.  Here I am on satellite internet now with not being able to return to DSL.  My neighbors need uverse as they had to cencel their DSL due to the service getting worse.  My road needs Uverse and I am requesting for a human to personally come to my house and run all the line tests possible for uverse.  Why?  Because I talked to an AT&T technician personally that used to service my DSL when I had trouble.  He said that I could get Uverse for sure, but the thing is that AT&T denies to turn it on and that I'm "too far" from town.   Town is 3 miles down the road, not that hard.  I don't care what AT&T has to say about it not being avaliable, I still want a technician sent here for no charge and get this uverse up and running.  I'm tired of being mistreated and lied to by AT&T so much.

Why didn't you get on the computer and pull up Uverse sign up, and plug in your address. Then you would get the message that Uverse is not yet available in your area. Like I did for years and years.

Then I move 2 miles away. Got Uverse. Hated the Internet service. So much I went back to Cox broadband

(Puleeease!! Don't say blazing fast about 18 Mbps when I can get cox 50 Mbps for the same price.)

Time warner cable stops 2 miles down the road from me.  I'm not moving, this house was only built 13 years ago...  This is why I'm trying to get AT&T to get uverse here or I would move 2 miles down the road and get time warner.  I would be fine with 3mbps, I'd even take 1.5mbps.  Just get me away from these stupid satellite 10GB/month data caps.

Can't do a thing about it.

It's more involved then running some cable. They have to have the system behind it to get the service out to all customers.

They've done it before with DSL.  Why not Uverse (IPDSL)?  In summer of 2013 uverse showed as avaliable for one week with 768kbps.  I waited to see if speed plans would increase, next week and bam it was unavaliable... again..

768 Kbps? Incredibly slow. Wow am I spoiled.

Since Uverse is billing itself as "blazing fast" I think they have to offer better than DSL Speed or nothing at all.
( they should be embarrassed, that's s very slow )

DSL Internet runs over phone lines, which are already in place in homes all over the USA
Uverse runs on fiber optic cables, which are expensive and time consuming to install. It is also new technology and unlike phone lines, not already in homes all over.

There are no current plans for expansion of IPDSLAM ADSL 2+, has to come out of the CO, VRAD or IRAD.  These do not reach as far as the Remote Terminals ATT installed to extend old ADSL to up to 15K' or so from the CO w/the RT. 😉

I guess all you're here is to beat the anti-Uverse drum and show how great cable is. Smiley Surprised

Edit: Considering you don't have Uverse, are not in Uverse territory and are in Frontier area (admitted in one of your posts) what value do you bring to the Uverse forums?

I enjoy my TV just fine. I was a Uverse customer I still have all AT&T equipment. The switch to Frontier makes no difference in service, just a new name on the bill.
Love the channels and everything works great. I still have it and see no reason to switch. Even though Cox is offering me a lower price to switch.

But I have a very connected home and the low bandwidth just did not cut it.

Then why can't I get my DSL back if DSL goes out so much further...?

Well they better get some plans instead of focusing on stupid fiber that i couldnt care less about.  Fiber will NEVER EVER EVER come out on this road.
