ATT Needs to Step UP in the Service Areas
I live at the end of your service area in Jewett Texas in the Robbins Community. To the south, east and west, Windstream is available, but right where I live it is AT&T. Windstream offers all of its customers internet service. While there is not monetary incentive for your to run high speed internet to our location, it should be your desire to provide the best services to all your customers because we don't really have a choice of local phone service and/or cable/internet/etc... It is sad that you will not build the infrastructure to give everyone your best services. On another note, we used to have pretty good cell phone service with ATT as well. I have had service with your for almost 30 years. However, this past year, it has really lapsed and I feel it is because you have not been upgrading our area because we are less populated than other areas. However, that does not mean we are not as important and the money we pay for services should be respected as much as anybody's. We usually pay more because of where we live for everything. We are willing to pay if it works and is reliable. We should not be punished because we live in rural communities. There is a Verizon tower near where I live and everyone gets great cell phone service there with Verizon and other phone services - but AT&T wireless is dead in the water. I have strangers that come to my house to use the phone when they have car trouble because it is a dead area. Your tower near Jewett used to be good, but now it is spotty at best and doesn't reach or do as well as it used to. I remember a time back in the 90's and early 2000's that South Texas customers were forced to stay on party lines because ya'll didn't want to run the services to them in the rural areas. The FCC made you change that. With everyone having to do school from home and work from home, maybe the FCC will step in and make you upgrade your services to us in the rural and less populated areas. I am tired of paying for services that work only part of the time. I have to pay for a landline because our ATT cell service won't work in our area. Do what is right and upgrade our areas so we are not forced to pay so many different companies for so many different services.
