AT&T Internet Air

I’m currently shopping around for new internet options for my apartment and I have AT&T as a side wireless account. I went into the My AT&T app and went to the section for internet. My apartment does not get fiber, only Internet 100 but I also saw another option called AT&T Internet Air. Any idea as to what this is? The app is glitchy and was unable to load it up.

Hi @czhong,

We have recently launched a new service called AT&T Internet Air.  You can find all the details via our main AT&T Internet Air homepage, and find all the FAQ's at the bottom of the page.  In addition, if you've already signed up and need assistance with setup, you can view our AT&T Internet Air support page.

Thanks

Take the Internet 100 and don't look back.  I believe Internet Air is the AT&T Fixed Wireless service and based on nothing but all the screaming that we see in this forum from people who have FW it's not something you want to deal with, especially when you have options.  When it works, it's good.  But it seems the towers get overwhelmed and the service gets so slow (or non-existent) and AT&T doesn't ever seem to address the problem.

Internet 100 is using older DSL tech called VDSL2.  It works okay.
Also note that Att does not support bridge mode in their gateway in case you intended to use your personal router as main if coming from cable.

I was on ATT DSL service for many years.  On average I got 4Mb/s download and 400Kb/s upload.  A little over a month ago I switched to ATT Air.  The service has been great.  I have been averaging 60Mb/s download and 6Mb/s upload.  My only problem with the 5G receiver/router is all but one of the LAN ports are disabled and I have not been able to set up a sub router.

BTW, I am in Texas, zip 75402.  I happen to have an ATT 5G tower practically in my backyard.

Confusing....why send me personalized mail advertising this service showing my current account and delivered to my home address, yet when I go to your website to see if its available at my address....it's not?

In ATT's defense.... another check in today, and coverage has been extended to my area.  Ive signed up and awaiting materials to arrive by  the weekend. If I can get 6 mb/s download....I'm doubling my average DSL rate. Waiting quite a while for this...please dont let me down. And thank you for providing another option.

I was an ATT DSL customer and received an invitation to switch to ATT Air. I live in Downtown Los Angeles, so finding 5G was not a problem. I've had it now for a few weeks... What I like. No tech people had to set it up... Just plug and play. I went from 12 mb/s to 60 mb/s download and it is $5 less a month. I'm happy I made the switch.
