Arris NVG589 - No connections are available, windows 8.1
was there a recent update to the ARRIS NVG589's software? I ask this because all of a sudden my mothers computer cannot connect to the wifi. I looked at the device manager and it stated that the drivers were bad. So that means they were no longer compatible with the 589? IDK. I tried clearing the drivers and looking for new ones but I could not find them on ARRIS' website as they dont list the 589 under their troubleshooting/driver search. could it go by another name? I saw someone mention a motoroal 589 once. any advice?

@andyr421 Bad drivers are in the computer. Some users have to upgrade the computer wireless drivers to connect.

You're looking for the drivers for the wireless adapter in the computer. Does the computer have an ethernet adapter? - you can connect to your gateway with an ethernet cable to search the Internet for the drivers you need.
