ACTIVE ARMOR

I am still having a problem with Active Armor NOT Working screening calls and my personal information isn't not being kept off internet even after  charging phone number. 

Very unhappy. Please HELP!!!

We want your personal information to be safe @Quartzcreek15. We'll be happy to help you use the ActiveArmor app, along with explaining its features. 

 

Whenever you first install the ActiveArmor mobile security app, the call protection settings will automatically be set to the following: 

  • Fraud calls - Block, with optiond to flag or send them to voicemail.
  • Nuisance calls - Enabled, with options to flag, block, or send them to voicemail. 
  • Unknown calls - Allowed, with an option to send them to voicemail.  

This may be why some calls are going through when you don't want them too. You'll be able to change this setting by going to the ActiveArmor app and selecting Calls > Network call preferences > desired Call option. 

 

Keep in mind that ActiveArmor doesn't delete personal information from the internet, rather, the ID Monitoring features works to alert you when your information is found instead. We highly recommend you check out these tips to keep your information safe, and prevent it from leaking onto the internet.

  1. Make sure that you have activated Active Armor and that it is up to date. Check your phone's settings to ensure that the feature is turned on and that the latest updates have been installed.

  2. Verify that the numbers you want to block are not on your contacts list. Active Armor only blocks calls from numbers that are not saved in your contacts.

  3. If the problem persists, try restarting your phone or resetting the network settings.

  4. Consider contacting your service provider for further assistance.

As for keeping your personal information off the internet, there are several steps you can take:

  1. Be cautious about the information you share online, including on social media platforms. Avoid posting sensitive information such as your full name, address, phone number, and financial details.

  2. Use strong and unique passwords for your accounts, and enable two-factor authentication whenever possible.

  3. Regularly review your privacy settings on social media and other online accounts to ensure that you are not inadvertently sharing information with the public.

  4. Use a reputable VPN service to encrypt your internet traffic and protect your online activity from prying eyes.

  5. Consider using privacy-focused search engines and email providers to further protect your personal information.
