Xbox 360 not connecting to wifi
I have an xbox 360. Before I got Uverse, I could get on xbox live. (It wasn't great, but could at least get on) Now we have Uverse, and it won't connect to my wifi at all. Everything else connects like the Wii, I pods, laptops, but not xbox. Any ideas???

Connecting your Xbox 360 to Wi-Fi
This explains how to configure the wireless settings on your Xbox 360 console. After you configure the wireless settings, you can connect to the Internet and Xbox Live.
The Xbox 360 E console and S console (Examples shown below) has built in Wi-Fi. If you have an original Xbox 360 console, you need an Xbox 360 Wireless Networking Adapter to connect your console to your U-verse Wi-Fi network.

Connecting your Xbox 360 to Wi-Fi
Note If you do not see the name of your wireless network, select Advanced Options. Then, select Specify Unlisted Network and enter your wireless network name. Select your wireless security type: WEP, WPA, or WPA2. Or, select No Security if your network doesn’t have a password. These security type settings must match the security type of your wireless network.
Note If wireless mode is not available and you’re using the black Wireless N Networking Adapter, try using the software installation disc included with the adapter.
Note Make sure that you have entered the correct password. Although an incorrect password might allow your console to connect to your wireless network, you might receive an IP address error when you test your Xbox Live connection.

Hello yellowkitchen,
I'm sorry you are having trouble connecting your XBOX to your wireless network. I can help you verify some settings and restore connectivity for your gaming console. I sent you a Private Message to assist you further.
I recommend acessing your Network Settings on the XBOX by selecting the following from the main menu
>Settings
>System
>Network Settings
This will take you to the screen where you can see your Available Networks.
Ensure you have selected the correct SSID that corresponds to your gateway.
Select the corresponding SSID.
Provide the Wireless Network Key from the gateway. If you have setup a custom Network key you may enter the custom key instead.
If you are still unable to connect you may need to consider using the "Restore to Factory Defaults" option found in Additional Settings under Configure Network.

Hi @Karrahahu1,
That is correct. With the original Xbox 360, they did not have a wireless network card built in them and needed an external wireless USB one.

I have done all of this and am still getting a service alret under the live status portion. And when I check the Xbox live service alert sight, it says all services are up and running. How can I configure my router to run better?
