Wireless Light Flashing Very Fast And Slow Connection

Hi, I would like to start this with the problem right away as it is very annoying.

The problem is that the wireless light on my NVG510 blinks very rapidly in the same way constantly.

This has affected my online play as I am a gamer, it makes my ping shoot up to 100-200 even though I'm on ethernet.

I have tried all the basic resets, changing channels, etc.

I do however tried one thing that seems to fix it (short time at least) which is unplugging my DSL cord which in turn makes the flash go back to normal.

If I leave it unplugged for say 5 minutes the flashing goes back to normal for that duration.

I have had no luck in fixing it any other way so help would be nice.

Hi @Fred325,

Can you tell us if the light blinking are green or red? If green, this is normally, especially if other devices are in use. The devices connected, the slower speeds will be. Check out this article, it may help.

It is a green flash nothing wrong besides the slow connection, I am the only one in the house connected at the time this ever occurs.

No one outside the household is on my RG besides the people who live here, it will die down after about an hour or so then a few minutes later start back up.

I have tried turning wireless off and it proved to make the problem go away, I'm not what you could call an expert about it but from my understanding the wireless light flashing indicates data travel between the RG and connected devices, but what gets me is I'm the only one on the network AND on an ethernet, I have checked to see if anyone is getting a free ride as well, nope only me...

So the only thing here I'm looking for is what could be making it do this.

Is such a factor as a TV being connected the problem? We have two and one IS on while this happens.
