wireless internet not working but firetv is working and phones are ok

We recently got directv now and wireless phone/internet. the microcell is att. the tv and phones we got working but i can only connect to internet with ethernet cable plugged into th ethernet port on the microcell. i have tried troubleshooting the problem but nothing has worked. i tried 'ipconfig' command but it shows on ethernet working fine. any ideas? thanks.

This is a great question!  I’m happy to explain and point you in the right direction.


A MicroCell signal booster does need to be connected to the internet router via an Ethernet cable in order for it to function; it does not have the capability to connect to your internet via Wi-Fi.  Connecting via Wi-Fi would cause interference with the signal boost.
