wi-fi extender not connecting to computer

I have 3 extenders to the fiber gate way. The computer will not provide internet access through the connection. When I connect through my phone hot spot the connection is working fine.

What is wrong, I was better off using my old system.

We understand that you are unable to get an internet connection through your Wi-Fi extenders, farmboy100. We can look at that together.

To start off, we are going to ask a couple of questions.

  1. Is the computer the online device in the home that is not getting the internet connection via the extenders or are there other devices?
  2. When was the last time that computer was able to connect to the extenders?
  3. Are there any red lights on the extenders? That normally means that extenders are not paired properly.

The reason why we need to know the answers to the those questions is to get an accurate timeline of when the computer lost connection.

Let's move on to some troubleshooting.

  1. Unplug the main extender from the router and from the power.
  2. Reset the AT&T router. The reason why is that sometimes is not the extender, but router that is stalling.
  3. Plug the extenders back in and power them on.
  4. Wait for the extenders to pair with AT&T router and you get all green lights.
  5. Reboot the computer.
  6. Try connecting again.

When you try these steps, make sure that you are in the same room as the extender that you are trying to connect to.

Please let us know if these steps work for you. If not, then there is much more that we can do.
